Customer Question

Have a 2014 freightliner Cascadia. At first, we had a problem with not cranking. It turned out to be break somewhere in wire from cabin sam to the starter/solenoid. Replaced that. Cranking strong but will not run. The volt meter on dash reads "0" volts. The only code our diagnostic computer is picking up is SPN 520306 FMI 4. Our research indicates this an injector #2 code. Doubt this would cause a no run situation. Doesn't explain no volts at dash volt meter. Dash comes on and needles sweep. Checked fuses at firewall and they are all ok and intact. Would like an idea on how to approach this. Plan to start with cabin sam output to engine ECU. Would be helpful to have pin diagram for engine ECU, power in, ingnition in etc. Where does engine ECU get its power from? VIN is 3AKJGLD59FSGJ4415

Good morning

you will see that the engine ecu gets its power from the from the fuse at the fender pdm,but it is controlled by the ignition relay at the fender pdm

verify battery, ignition and ground and the engine ecu

you will see a big and small plug, the checks are to be done at the small 21 pin connector

let me know how you do.
