Customer Question

have a kodiak 5500 ac issue
JA: Have you checked the Freon level?
Customer: at first there was no freon the compressor was bad. I put in a new compressor without the high pressure switch and now there is freon and the leak has stopped
JA: What is the model of your '3500 Chevy?
Customer: not a 3500 it is a kodiak 5500
JA: Are you hoping to fix this yourself? What have you tried so far?
Customer: yes
JA: Anything else you think the mechanic should know?
Customer: The ground to the A.C relay is not there. If a ground is applied to the ac relay the compressor engages and the system works. The low pressure switch is closed and passing the 12 volts. I have jumped out and also taken the jump wire off the high pressure switch hoping the ground circuit from the PCM would close but it does not close
