Hi my name is ***** ***** will be glad to try to help. The brake is spring applied and pressure released. What do you mean it has air but doesnt have air to release? If there is air to the brake chamber to release but the brake is not releasing it means there must be a leak in the chamber itself. Are you hearing an air leak?

Customer: replied 10 months ago.
no air leak. not getting air to chamber. got air going into release button but nothing coming out when released. i work on deisels on daily basis, for swift trans. but our brake system is all air. trying to figure out if it's the release valve for brakes or the chamber for park brakes? truck builds to 120 psi, has 120 psi to brake release but nothing coming out when pushed in to release.

thanks for the update. If there is air into the park brake switch but not coming out of the delivery side of the switch, there is a problem in the switch. check the release valve for sticking as well. Remove the top cover and inspect for sludge and corrosion causing the valve to stick. Let me know
