Customer Question

I have a 2005 Columbia with a Mercedes engine. Occasionally, for no apparent reason, it will code and drop down to 1200 rpm. No matter what, it will not run more than 1200 rpm. 30 seconds to a minute later it will snap out of it and run as normal. Check engine light will come on, but will go off once the engine is shut off and restarted.
This situation is ongoing but no frequency to it. May do it 5 times a day, or only once. Or some days not at all. What could be the issue?

Good morning
Any chance of knowing what the code is when it faults?
Customer: replied 5 months ago.

It has never faulted when in the shop to be able to pull a code.

It should have logged a code
Do you have it?
Customer: replied 5 months ago.

No code appeared the two times it was in Freightliner's shop.

When the code goes active. You will be able to get the number on your dash by using the mode button when the lights comes on. Put on the park brake and toggle the button till you see fault 1 hold the button down and you should get a number like 128. Sid 54 fmi 4Something like that. Let me know how you do
