I have a ThermoKing 300 reeer on my van. It operates

Customer Question

I have a ThermoKing 300 reeer on my van. It operates properly on standby when plugged in. When I unplug the standby and start the engine the unit will not turn on to cool. If I turn it off, turn of the engine, plug it in and turn the reefer standby on it works. I am trying to understand what is preventing it from starting with the engine running.
JA: We'll do all we can to help. Is there anything else the Heavy Equipment Mechanic should be aware of?
Customer: I think that covers it.
JA: OK. Got it. I'm sending you to a secure page on JustAnswer so you can place the $5 fully-refundable deposit now. While you're filling out that form, I'll tell the Heavy Equipment Mechanic about your situation and then connect you two.

I am not a technician, so I think this is not going to work for me. I will take it in for service.
