Hi, It's Dan. What codes are you getting?
Fault Code 2359: EGR Differential Pressure Sensor – Data Valid but More Than Normal Range
FAULT CODE 2359 PID 411 FMI 0 (SPN 411 FMI 16)
J1587 / J1708J1939OEM
MID 128SA 0
PID 411SPN 411Fault Code 2359
FMI 0FMI 16***** *****ght
EGR differential pressure sensor measures exhaust gas pressure drop across EGR differential pressure orifice. Calculate amount of EGR flow into intake manifold using this pressure drop.
If PID 411 FMI 0 (Fault Code 2359) is active after a key cycle and engine is not running, it will be set inactive only after meeting these conditions:
EGR Differential Pressure Sensor – data valid but more than normal operating range – moderately severe level. EGR differential pressure sensor failed automatic calibration procedure or EGR differential pressure reading is not valid for engine operating conditions.
Close EGR valve.
1569 just means the engine has been derated
CODE REASON EFFECT
Fault Code: 4282PID: NotMappedSPN: 5298FMI: 0/31LAMP: AmberSRT:
Aftertreatment Diesel Oxidation Catalyst Conversion Efficiency - ConditionExists. The temperature increase across the aftertreatment diesel oxidationcatalyst is lower than expected.
None on performance. Active aftertreatment diesel particulate filterregeneration will be disabled.
FaultCode: 3167PID: S382SPN: 3556FMI: 18LAMP: AmberSRT:
Aftertreatment Doser - Data Valid But Below Normal Operating Range -Moderately Severe Level.
Possible ineffective regeneration of the aftertreatment diesel particulatefilter. Degraded aftertreatment fuel injector.
Service your DPF and try cleaning your DPF injector and do a regen. If the problem still exists, replace the injector. check the other items listed for 411. Let me know
The EGR should be in the closed position. If stuck open it is bad. I would not try to force it to move. In most cases the EGR ends up needing replacement if there is excessive carbon/soot buildup
Thanks for the update. Did you run through the checks for the potential causes listed in the fault definitions? I would run through those checks.
