that can be 2 things,

restricted air intake

or injectors over fueling

I suggest to remove the air filter and see if it still does it

if yes, replace the injectors

Engine runs fine with no load. Only smokes under pressure.

Sorry for delay , took wife to Airport , Mother passed away last night in Colorado

when I say the pump dragging is that it is loosing pressure

any when you mentioned more pressure one side to other

that is a pretty good indication
