Customer Question

I have a 1995 F800 dump truck with a 5.9 cummins engine. The original allison transmission is burnt and the model/serial # ***** is missing. I have an Allison MT654CR transmission which looks identical to the original transmission, except that the torque converter is larger, heavier & has at least double the amount of flywheel bolts than does the stock transmission. My question is whether there is a bell housing/flywheel or spacer/flywheel combination that would allow me to use the MT654CR transmission in place of the original & will the larger flywheel result in having to shorten the drive shaft? Also, what is the model number of the original allison transmission?
Thanks, cw

Hi

I am sorry I did not see that

OEM trans was a MT 643

Mt 654 was for that Cat engine 3208

so your answer is no, it will not work

changing the flywheel and bellhousing would mean different front pumps
