good evening my name is ***** ***** I will assist

do you have any gauges for checking pressures??? in most cases, the pump is the failure for weak power steering.

also, make sure you check all steering components to be sure everything is loose. the king pins are a common area for seizing

I don t have gauges. I could possibly plumb a gauge in. Also I am an hour away from where the truck sits so I would like to gather as much about possibilities when I approach the problem on Monday. if any schematics are available they may help as I try to resolve the issue.

what are the pressures supposed to be for the various tests ? what is the recommended oil ? what overhaul kits (should they be needed) are available for the steering components? I appreciate the attachments sent however if they could be enlarged a little that would be helpful because when I enlarge them at this end they become fuzzy right away. The more pictures etc. of the system the more helpful it is. Thanks, Dave

pressures will vary from 600 at idle to over 1000 in turning.

no kits that I have ever used. just replacement of pump or steering gear.

use power steering fluid. no special fluid required.
