I have purchased a new ignition. what is the procedure for removal of the old keyed portion and installation into the new ignition? I see a small hole on the side of it....

in that small hole, insert a paperclip , and turn it back towards

ACC, i t will lock and then you pull the cylinder out

go from key off to the first position? (There are no labels like acc)

Sounds like you don't really know exactly where the position of the key needs to be after you insert the paper clip? I was looking for an an answer from an expert.

On older models it was from off to ACC

on the 1995 and up it is off to on

and pull on the key to get the tumbler out of the cylinder
