good morning my name is ***** ***** I will assist

can you tell me what you have done already???

I see different trans??? why??

where does the noise seem to be coming from???

Roy

We thought tranny was worn out and found "good" used one, same noise coming from tranny
Expert:  roybelding replied 1 year ago.

ok, then you feel it is from the trans.

it should make the similar noise in 9th and 10th as well??

it sounds like the bearings on the main shaft are worn.

did you replace the clutch and pilot bearing as well?? if the pilot bearing is worn or the input shaft is worn, it will stress the main shaft.

I repeat, this is a 5 speed trans. we replaced all clutch parts plus motor mounts
Expert:  roybelding replied 1 year ago.

sorry, there is no mention that it is a 5 speed trans or even the type of truck. sorry.
