I GOT THIS 2010 INT. PRO STAR IN YESTERDAY. HAD 2 ACTIVE CODES, 4283 SPN3556 FMI11 AND 2554 SPN1209, FMI2. I WENT TO REMOVE THE DOSER TO FIND IT HAD ONLY ONE SCREW HOLDING IT ON AND WAS LEAKING EXHAUST. I RAN THE DOSER FLOW TEST AND IT CAME UP TO THE MINIMUM FLOW LEVEL OF 300ML. DURING THE FLOW TEST THE 2554 CODE WENT INACTIVE. TODAY I GOT THE PARTS TO RESEAL IT AND CLEANED IT. I RESET THE DIESEL PARTICULATE SYSTEM 3 TIMES AND WAS ABLE TO START A FORCED REGEN. EVERYTHING STARTED OUT NORMAL WITH TEMPS RISING, TEMPS GOT UP TO 900 DEGREES WHEN THE ECM SHUT OFF DOSING AND TEMPS DROPPED. IT WAS STILL IN ACTIVE REGENERATING MODE WITH THE HIGHER IDLE BUT NO MORE DOSING. THE TEMPS DROPPED TO 300 DEGREES AND CONTINUED TO RUN FOR 45 MINS UNTIL THE REGEN WAS STOPPED. NOW I HAVE 3 ACTIVE CODES OF WHICH THE NEW ONE IS 2764 SPN 1209, FMI 2. I FIGURED THAT IT WOULD START DOSING AGAIN TO FINISH CLEANING OUT THE DPF. I CHECKED FOR LEAKS IN THE CAC AND FOUND THE CHARGE AIR COOLER IS LEKING ALL ALONG THE HOT SIDE INLET CORE. COULD I HAVE A PROBLEM WITH THE EXHAUST GAS PRESSURE SENSOR? THE VEHICLE CAME IN WITH A CHECK EBGINE LIGHT ON AND LOW POWER OVER THE MOUNTAINS. WE ARE LOCATED IN SOUTHERN ARIZONA. ANY IDEAS?

4283 is a doser code - data valid but condition exists.
2554 is an exhaust gas pressure code .

I CALLED A FRIEND I USED TO WORK WITH AS A TECH. HE TOLD ME AFTER I GAVE HIM THE CODES TO PULL THE EXHAUST GAS PRESURE SENSOR AND LOOK AT IT. I DID AND FOUND THE END HAD CARBON ON AND IN IT. I ALSO FOUND ONE TERMINAL THAT HAD SOME HEAT DAMAGE. I ALREADY KNEW WHAT THE CODES MEANT BEFORE I CONTACTED YOU. WE HAD A RUNNER TRAVEL TO TUCSON AND GET THE SENSOR. I INSTALL IT AND WAS ABLE TO COMPLETE A FULL REGEN. THE TRUCK IS NOW REPAIRED.
