Hi there Wayne. Mate we have a 92 mack chr with a e7 400. The injector pump has been taken off and rebuilt. Just wanting to know how to set up the timing on the pump and engine as it was pulled off while not on TDC.

Thank you for requesting me
remove the valve cover , rotate engine by hand to TDC,
both valves are to be loose on #1 cylinder
and pointer on damper at TDC or 5 degree BTDC
if valves are not loose, the rotate the engine 1 full turn

When ever you get a pump back from a re builder, they always set it to #1

There are no marks or pointers on the damper. Would there be any on the fly wheel?
