We have an older model Iveco diesel engine fire pump.

Customer Question

We have an older model Iveco diesel engine for a fire pump. We are trying to obtain a copy of the diesel engine maintenance manual. Model GEC FP.74. Manufacturer's serial #696319. We are located in Kitchener, Ontario. We are a fire protection installer looking for this information for one of our clients. They recently purchased an existing building & there is no info for the fire pump or engine. The engine was originally installed in 1993.
Anything you can do to help would be appreciated.

I found a rebuild manual for about 6 older engines the,,,the other manuals I received came in French.
Let me know if this would work for you (rebuild manuals)
All diesel engine maintenance is pretty much the same no matter who makes it.

the reason for the exact manual is for parts
Expert:  spankyjr1 replied 1 year ago.
Thanks for info. I was looking for service side not parts manual
the question said maintenance manual.
Let me see if that was in the files I got.
Customer: replied 1 year ago.
actually both but parts will be critical as this is an odd engine
Expert:  spankyjr1 replied 1 year ago.
I will look to see, I'm just having a hard time matching those engine numbers,, the ones I'm finding have a letter with numbers.
Maybe the parts manual will help with engine ID seeing it came out of a 93
Customer: replied 1 year ago.
I will recheck our findings of the engine #'s - it will take me a few days
Expert:  spankyjr1 replied 1 year ago.
If you could find out what it came out of,, a 93 what,,, that would help even more?
Customer: replied 1 year ago.
This engine was never from any vehicle - it was designed for & installed as an engine driver for a fire pump
Expert:  spankyjr1 replied 1 year ago.
Thats fine but It would help if I knew the modal number of what it was installed in?
The manuals are listed by what product they go in, not by each engine since the base engines are the same its the options for whatever it goes in that tell how its built.
That is how you get what parts are on the engine with what needs to be maintained at certain time limits.

I'm not so sure we are going to make headway. This diesel is a driver for a fire pump - there are no models etc., to distinguish the diesel. Our equipment is approved by Factory Mutual Insurance testing. Different types of drivers can be used, so long as they are Factory Mutual approved.
I am out of suggestions to help you - sorry.

Okay
Good luck
