Customer Question

3406e new overhaul cat kit getting water in cylinders all six with injecors in are out

Hi. Thanks for asking your question! I will try and help you out.
If there is coolant in each cylinder, I would first suspect a liner problem. The reason I say this is because with a cracked head you nornally do not get coolant in all the cylinders. But I have seen cracked liners due to a defect or protrusion problem. Either way, cracked head or liners, the head must come off.
Please reply back if you need more help or have more questions. I am happy to assist.

If it's the cup o rings. You can pressurize the cooling system with the injectors out. If they are leaking you will see it.
