you are burning water?

but you don.t see no white smoke out of the exhaut but thesurge tank don.t go down but raid do

does the truck have an egr cooler?

Customer :

yes it does but if the egr system is bad wouldn.t go through exhaut system

diesel-tech :

yes it goes both ways through the exhaust and or through the intake..if its running in the intake side it will take a good amount to make it smoke..pull the intake pipe off the intake mannifoldand see if its wet.get the truck hot and then pull it off,with a flash light you can see if its making moisture
