You can get to know by history and symptoms. Cat scratch disease usually occurs one to two weeks after scratch or bite of the cat and have following symptoms, a rash or bump at the site of scratch along with fever, nausea, vomiting, chills, sore throat, fatigue, headache and enlarged lymph nodes. Most of the cases resolve on its own, few needs antibiotics.
