I have lymphadema in my right arm after having surgery and excision of the lymph glands. My under arm has been constantly itching since about 6 am, I can't sleep and when I do fall asleep it wakes me up
JA: What seems to make the symptoms worse or better? In general, how would you describe your health lately?
Customer: I am just getting over the flu but otherwise my health is pretty good
JA: Anything else in your medical history you think the doctor should know?
Customer: I am diabetic, high blood pressure and had four stents about nine years ago, both the diabeties and high blood pressure is managed with medication

You can apply calamine lotion, which can help in relieving the itching.

Following would help you;

1) Avoid exposure to heat and humidity.

2) Use moisturizer, if you feel that your skin is dry.

3) You can also try skin-soothing oatmeal or cornstarch bath for itching.

4) Wear cool, light, loose bedclothes. Do not wear rough clothing, particularly wool.

The other causes of itching are, if the scabies is ruled out;

1) Dry skin; happens in winter months; baby Johnson oil or any moisturizer would help.

2) Skin allergy
