Customer Question

RN of 27 years. Injured my Psoas lifting a patient who was sliding out of a w/c. That was a week and half ago. I've been taking Naproxen, using a heating pad, doing stretches yet the pain today is the worst it has been. Didn't fill out worker's comp papers as I thought it would be "no big deal", but like I said, it's getting worse.
JA: How long have you had the pain? What seems to make the pain better or worse?
Customer: It happened the 13th. Nothing is making it better. Lying in bed makes it worse.
JA: Anything else in your medical history you think the doctor should know?
Customer: Ventral hernia repair in Feb. 1996

you should let your supervisor know what happened.

and you should see a doctor about this injury.

you may need a spine and back MRI scan to check for muscle tears and inflammation.
