Hi. I have a swollen left foot, slightly painful. Symptoms noticed yesterday.
JA: Any recent injuries? How long have you been dealing with the swelling?
Customer: not the anlkle - top of the foot
JA: Anything else in your medical history you think the doctor should know?
Customer: I have had two total hip replacements August 2013 and July 2014

are you overweight?

I am overweight, I would not be sure about gout - which I thought had something to do with the large toe and surrounding area. My swelling is below the toes mostly on the left side of my foot going towards the center-top of foot. I kept my foot elevated all last night. Today I was on my feet for 5 hours at - just home now and it seems to be the same.

No, not st all. I would say it is sore, and sore to the touch as well.

The possibilities here would be infection (cellulitis), gout (can occur in any joint or near any joint), and a blood clot
