I have had a check up yesterday but am unsure if my doctor

Customer Question

Hi I have had a check up yesterday but am unsure if my doctor is a little less interested because I visit the clinic so often. For the past year I have suffered from fibromyalgia and chest pains left side numbness amongst a number of other things. For the past 4 or 5 days I have had tightness in my mid back that kind of feels like indigestion along with some electric shock type pains in my left ribs but is only mild this happens at work and rest doesn't really seem to matter. I have had stress test 12 months ago multiple ECG most recent about 2 months ago and 24hr holti monitor 12 months ago all come back good. I don't have high blood pressure or high cholesterol I don't have diabetes but I am overweight being 116kgs and am not very active given the fibro. My doctors thinks this is all due to my anxiety or fibro but these are new symptoms and I am worried about unstable angina or something. But he assures me being 32 and all my tests being fine I should have nothing to worry about my questions are would you agree am I safe and what coul be causing these issues indigestion antacids don't seem to help anxiety why have the symptoms changed he seems to say I anxiety can cause me to feel electric twitches from my heart is this safe ? Would anxiety cause the back tightness/indigestion feeling?.

I agree with your doctor

your symptoms are not due to angina or your heart. you have had heart testing already.

anxiety can cause muscle tightness and tight muscles can cause electric shock type pains.

anxiety can often cause chest pains and chest pressure symptoms, shortness of breath symptoms, chest tightness symptoms
