After being unable to breastfeed my son was put on formula

Customer Question

After being unable to breastfeed my son was put on formula with no problems other than reflux which was manageable. Then at one year old he began to have severe constipation. Since milk was the only new thing introduced we eliminated it and things seemed to improve.
However, at 15 months he still has intermittent problems. He doesn't like to drink a lot of fluids and lactose free foods also seem to irritate him. At his last appt. he was diagnosed with "Failure to Thrive" due to no weight gain.
Is there something we're missing?

Yes You should take him to an allergy specialist to find out what he is missing. In addition, he should remain on a formula until he is of age 2.
