Customer Question

My wife has had a chronicle cough for several years. she is 81, has a pacemaker and generally has good health. The cough is more of a distraction than an overt problem.
JA: How long have you been dealing with the cough? Are you having any other symptoms?
Customer: at least 2 years...no other obvious symptoms.
JA: Anything else in your medical history you think the doctor should know?
Customer: She had hepititis while living in a South Am jungle. She had her gall bladder removed 10 to 20 years ago. Also she had a large kidney stone that caused problems 45 years ago. Otherwise in good shape for 81 years.

I am sorry she has a chronic cough

this can be due to long term post nasal drip or acid reflux or nervous habit

does she have post nasal drip or acid reflux symptoms? I hope she doesn't smoke.
