I'm 19 years old and the last time I got my period was July

Customer Question

Hello! So I'm 19 years old and the last time I got my period was July 20th roughly. I just started college, so I thought that skipping August was probably due to stress. I had protected sex early September, but took 2 pregnancy tests 23 days after, and again this morning and they both came back negative. I'm not at all stressed because my work load has been pretty easy this semester and I'm exercising just about the same as I have been for the past couple of years. I don't know what could be the issue and I'm getting a little bit concerned.
JA: Are you in any pain? How regular are your periods?
Customer: No pain. My periods are pretty regular, I get them every month, just sometimes they're 1 or 2 days early or late.
JA: Anything else in your medical history you think the doctor should know?
Customer: I'm gluten sensitive so I avoid gluten.

Hello,

tests are very reliable at this time, so you can exclude pregnancy. Such a delay of the period can be caused by hormonal imbalance, also an ovarian cyst can play a role. So I would recommend examination by your OB/GYN, depending on the result he can provoke the bleeding by medication.
