Slightly high count of red blood cells in blood test---

Customer Question

slightly high count of red blood cells in blood test--- meaning.. ?
JA: What confuses you?
Customer: why does my blood test report say i have a slight rise of red blood cells. what could that mean ?
JA: Is this a time sensitive issue? What type of specimen are they testing?
Customer: i don't know. i had blood drawn for Vit D , Synthroid--- my dr. said that all is okay but they found that there was a higher than usual amont of red blood cells in the blood testing and that i need to have my blood tested again in 2 months.
JA: Anything else in your medical history you think the doctor should know?
Customer: No. she has always kept track of my heatlh issues--- it could be due to dehydraytion for i have had a removal of 36 " of my intestines in 1997 and i am a fairly healthy and active 92 yr old woman enjoying life.
