Hello, this is Dr. David. I am reviewing your question now and will be with you momentarily.

Expert:  Dr. David replied 1 month ago.

I am sorry you are having prolapsed bladder

how old are you?

are you having problems with urination or pain?

have you tried to do kegel exercises to help strengthen your pelvic floor muscles?

Customer: replied 1 month ago.
I have just had my 80th birthday. I am in very good health. I was told by a doctor that kegels would not help.
Expert:  Dr. David replied 1 month ago.

are you having problems with urination or pain?

what questions do you have for me?

Customer: replied 1 month ago.
No pain. Nuisance things. = Do I need to go to the bathroom or not? Feels like a gallon in there but its a teaspoon full that comes out. It is hanging really low and I don't know if that is normal for this or not.
Expert:  Dr. David replied 1 month ago.

no, it is definitely normal

but is common as women get older

especially if they have had many children.

surgery can be difficult to impossible in a patient who is 80 years old.

Customer: replied 1 month ago.
Only 2 children. last one 50 years ago.
I am concerned about what care I should be giving this . Keeping very clean of course but is there anything else I should do and what do I watch for?
Expert:  Dr. David replied 1 month ago.

some patients who have bad bladder prolapse, can have rectal prolapse as well with the rectum which can push into the vaginal canal and press down.

so avoid constipation and hard stool

kegel exercise can prevent rectal prolapse and worsening bladder prolaspe
