Dear,

Thanks for staying online. I am posting my answer.

Well, such swelling in testicle, should not be left ignored and has to be thoroughly investigated by doctor.

These symptoms can occur in any of these conditions-
-Inflammation of the vas and the seminal vesicles
-Prostatitis.
-Epididymitis-It is the inflammation of the epididymis
-Orchitis (inflamed testicle), It can be caused by an infection from many different types of bacteria and viruses.

To treat, he would need Antibiotics -- if the infection is caused by bacteria, Anti-inflammatory medications and Painkillers would be given.

He need to consult his doctor, for detailed examination of the scrotum, testicles, and penis.

A scrotal ultrasound may be done to find where the swelling is occurring.

He need to undergo- Complete blood count, Urine test, Urine flow study for complete diagnosis.

In the mean time he can take OTC Motrin, use ice packs to the scrotum for the first 24 hours, and also followed by sitz baths to decrease swelling.

He should wear loose undergarments, and avoid doing any exercises.

Hope this helped
