Hi there,
This is Dr Basu, experienced Internal Medicine Specialist.
I am here to address your concerns and provide great service.

Sweet body odor can be due to the fermentation of blood sugar.

Hence, diabetes should be ruled out first.

Did you have any fasting blood sugar checked?

Customer: replied 2 months ago.
I had a complete physical 6 months ago and bloodwork was great. Nothing unusual.

Blood sugar should be checked again.

6 months is a long time.

Besides that, liver problem also should be ruled out.

6 months is a long time between physicals. I can't do them monthly. I've told this problem to my doctor and he seems to think I'm crazy. lol He said something about sinus cat scan and left the room not to return. Does this make any sense?
Expert:  Dr Basu replied 2 months ago.

Sinusitis or inflammation of sinuses can cause abnormal smell.
But in your case, the smell is perceived by others as you said.
Hence, this is a different problem.
Besides diabetes, excessive fruits and chocolate in diet can be the cause.
High copper, low zinc and magnesium deficiency are other possible causes slowing down sugar break down and hence fermentation.
Best wishes
