I have Rheumatoid arthritis and have been taking Enbrel

Customer Question

I have Rheumatoid arthritis and have been taking Enbrel since 2004. My RA seems relatively inactive now, no swelling, no pain. My ESR has been below 30, until last Nov., after the Aug right knee total knee replacement, 11/2015 ESR was 45. I had my left knee also replaced this March, and in May, the ESR has gone up tp 65. In Aug I retested the ESR, it's 100. Retested it last week, it was still at 90. Can the ESR be high just because I have RA, even though it's not active?
