When I drink carbonated drinks I can't feel the carbonation on the roof of my mouth anymore - only on sides and front of my tongue. It came on suddenly?
JA: Have you noticed any recent swelling? Do you have any tooth pain?
Customer: No - neither
JA: Anything else in your medical history you think the doctor should know?
Customer: Recent High blood pressure episode which is odd because I have a defect that causes abnormally low BP most of life

how old are you?

there are conditions which can cause numbness of the roof of your mouth.

the trigeminal nerve in the brain is the large nerve which collects information from the face and mouth and brings it to the brain.

the roof of the mouth is most often the least sensitive part of the mouth

and so, it could be normal for you not to feel certain sensation there.

do you have high anxiety symptoms? this can make you more worried and alarmed about small changes in your body

also anxiety can increase blood pressure as well.
