Expert:  Dr S.A.Alam replied 4 months ago.

Thank you for your question, these symptoms are due to irritation of your hiatal hernia and headache is due to possible electrolyte imbalance, you should take around 200ml of oral rehydration solution and take over counter antiemetic to control the vomiting. In most cases it is due to bug infection mostly viral and resolves within 5-7 days.

Is most cases if hiatal hernia is not big it can be controlled with takings less water with food, takings less spicy and fatty food, medicine like motilium and acid suppressant help keep the symptoms under check. IF all these measure are not able to control the symptoms then we have to treat is surgically.
