What is your question?

The symptoms would be upper abdominal pain that radiates to the back.

This is not always the case, but happens.

Here is a write up on symptoms:

I can not seem to edit my above post.

They key would be the pain in the upper left chronic.

Pancreatitis would be dangerous potentially, and should be evaluated immediately.

my back pain is on upper left side of back, by shoulder blades. this has been going on for years and undiagnosed by imaging, so i am thinking maybe pancreas.

if i am having pain on back associated with pancreas, would it hurt when i touch the area like me pushing on it and i can recreate the pain is this pain not touchable?

Expert:  Dr. Thomas, MD replied 4 months ago.

This would not be typical of the pancreas.

Pancreatitis has pain under the ribs. Severe pain.

Touching would make it worse.

It would not be predominantly back pain.

my question was, if it is mild pancreatis, and the pain is on back, would touching the shoulder blade area recreate the pain or is back pain associated with pancreas really a nerve that is causinb back?

Expert:  Dr. Thomas, MD replied 4 months ago.

It would not recreate the pain.

And mild pancreatitis would not cause this picture.

I suggest that imaging as well, would have identified any pancreatitis.

So, don't think that is it.

I am glad to follow up as well.

imaging only was of the spine and shoulder, not abdominal organs

Expert:  Dr. Thomas, MD replied 4 months ago.

A simple ultrasound and blood test will rule out anything wrong with the pancreas.

Positive rating please.
