Customer Question

My 34 year old son has Esophageal Achalasia, he's been suffering 2 years now and has lost 50 pounds. He's had all kinds of tests and been to Mayo clinic and has had the surgery done where they rebuild the sphincter. He is suffering bad, a lot of pain. And is likely to loose another job. We are at a loss. We don't know how to help him. He's had to file bankruptcy, because of loosing his first job, therfore the insurance. Please help us. We wrote to Dr. Oz, hoping to get on his show but haven't heard anything yet. That was in May I think.

This is Dr. David

which Mayo Clinic did he go to? Rochester, MN?

is he willing to get a PEG tube placed for tube feedings into his stomach to at least help gain some of his weight back?

he may need a nerve block to decrease pain from that area where he had surgery.
