Actually, there are several conditions that can occur that a layperson may refer to as the bottom area coming loose. If the front wall of the vagina is weak and a portion of the bladder is protruding through the vaginal opening, it would be called a cystocele. If the back wall of the vagina is weak and a portion of the rectum is protruding through the vaginal opening, it would be called a rectocele. If the uterus/cervix is protruding through the vaginal opening, it would be called uterine prolapse.
