my daughter is having sharp pain around her right hip area, kind of around where the ovary would be. What can this be?
JA: How long have you had the pain? What seems to make the pain better or worse?
Customer: one day and its better if she doesn't move. Hurts when she moves, but doesn't really hurt when she pushes on it. Just got done with her period

Not taking any medication. She feels a little bit of nausea. Just ended her period. No fever, no bloating, no constipation.

I understand your concern.

Well as you describe,possible causes may include Ureteric colic,Ovarian cyst,Appendicitis.

Take OTC Motrin and Prilosec.

Also do warm compresses with a heating pad on affected area.

Hydrate herself with plenty of fluids.

If pain is getting worse over the time then visit ER and ultrasound abdomen & pelvis should be done ASAP.

Antispasmodic injections can be given.
