Hello

Welcome to Justanswer website.

Myself Dr Josh and I’m happy to help with your question today

There are various causes that can cause you to notice mouth full of clear liquid like water/saliva when you woke up.The most common causes are:

  • Acidity or GERD can cause excessive saliva production
  • Infection in oral cavities such as mouth ulcers
  • Dental problems
  • Sinus infection
  • Damage to the nerves that control salivary glands/neurological causes
  • Certain medications
  • Other causes

It's a harmless symptom and generally doesn’t last long.If there is any underlying cause, then that needs to be treated accordingly.

As this has happened to you for the first time,I think you just need to wait & watch if it happens again.Nothing to worry.

Dont take fried, spicy, salty, chilly food items. Avoid heavy meals.

Hope this helped
