I am 77 years old and suffer from acute itching.
The disorder started about 10 years ago
I was tested by a rheumatologist for immune disorders and nothing seemed to be wrong
I have been treated with cortisone by different dermatologists .The diagnosis was dry skin
Being very careful in trying to moisturize as often as 3 times a day is not improving the situation.
I have also done intensif tests for food allergy and told to do a rotation diet which was done.
the itch starts showing by the apparition of tiny lottle pimples with a white head causing the sart of the problem
At this point nothing seems to alleviate the problem and it's getting worse
corse bumpy skin impetigol .... which specialist should I consult
would the Meridain Valley lab testing be an answer
I do not consider taking prednisone

have you had your thyroid hormone levels checked? abnormal thyroid hormone levels can cause itchy skin.

some medications could be causing your ichy skin.

psychological disorders or anxiety disorders or OCD disorders can cause you to have itchy skin
