This is Dr Basu, experienced Internal Medicine Specialist.
I am here to address your concerns and provide great service.
This is likely the tendon injury not ankle fracture.
Peroneal longus and brevis both are likely injured --partial rupture is likely given your symptoms.
You will need to immobilize the ankle completely with a brace or splint for 2 weeks.
This will promote tendon healing gradually.
Avoid weight bearing.
May take 3-4 weeks for reasonable recovery.
You should see a sports medicine specialist also for clinical evaluation --management will not change significanrtly.
It was my pleasure to help you today.
