  • Greens here, means all green vegetables and that is mainly due to the iodine content that would interfere with reliability of the test.

So, here's what I plan to eat for next 2 weeks staying away from greens and fish foods.

Egg and Cheese Omelette, muffins, instant coffee, jams, butter, pancakes

Smoothies and salads: Red Apples, Red ball peppers, carrots, bananas, strawberries, blue and black berries, carrots, red beats, corn, raisins, quinoa, nuts and grains, red beets, beans (except red kidney), chicken, beef, goat, rice, cheese pizza

Does any of above contain significant iodine. Or, is the list generally acceptable. Thank you.

  • The list of food to avoid is extensive, but not that extensive. If you avoid these items, there is not thing left for you to eat :-)
  • I am simplifying it for you as follows:
    • Any food that contains iodized salt. So, avoid sea salt
    • Avoid eggs and Mayonnaise
    • Fish and all sea foods (Shell fish, sea weed, sea kelp )
    • White bread, nan bread and malt bread
    • Cheese, cheese cake, condensed milk and Jafa cake
    • Trifle and Yorkshire pudding
    • Green vegetables

I hope this helps. Let me know if you have any further questions

You can eat meet and chicken as long as it it not salted with iodized salt. Be aware that canned food items have iodized salt in them, avoid them as well.
