Is it normal to have only liquid go into my colostomy bag? I'm also having some problems with pooping from my rectal area.

Hello,
Yes that is normal
Usually a colostomy bag is due to surgery which for a while at least interrupts your colon. The colon serves to absorb fluid from the digesting food....
So if you have surgery say to remove a segment of colon the food material coming from stomach and small intestine is mainly liquid ...
If you had for example surgery to remove a segment of colon then the material going to colostomy bag will be a liquid paste .....

If you have interrupted colon then you would not pass stool below as normal.....
