This is Dr. David

23mm is 2.3cm. that is about an inch retraction.

Descriptive categories are used to group the anteroposterior extent of full thickness tears

2.3cm is a medium tear

decision for surgery is grey and not clear cut in all patients

this depends on your performance status, your other health factors, your ability to tolerate surgery and your level of physical actiivty.

have you talked to an orthopedic surgeon about your tear and options for surgery or not at this point?

rehab can take 6-12 months or even longer after a shoulder repair surgery.
