Dr. PhilI just got a round pink "thing" on my chin

Customer Question

Dr. PhilI just got a round pink "thing" on my chin yesterday afternoon. I'd say it was acne or a boil, but I haven't had anything like that since I was in my 20's. It is flattish, no head on it, 1/4 inch in diameter and it hurt a bit. It doesn't hurt anymore. I have been putting hot compresses on it. It doesn't look serious, but I'm worried because I "don't" get things like this and because of the below:I'm worried because I am immune compromised (neutrophils run between .8 and 1.2).Do you think that's why I got this?
Do you think it will make it hard for it to go away?

Do you have a pic?

Expert:  Dr Chaithanya replied 6 months ago.

Hello,

It can be due to low to low neutrophils

But it can be due to allergy as well.

I suggest to take a benadryl tablet and apply 1% hydrocortisone cream on it for 2 to 3 days

It should subcide soon

Hope this helps
