I was just diagnosed with essential tremors. I was given clonopine. I am a RN, and would at times knock out an IV. I quit my job. Anything else I need to do? Getting a CT,

You need to make sure you see a neurologist.

To make sure the diagnosis is correct.

Also, you need to make sure your TSH is optimal with the hypothyrodism.

For most people this is .8 to 1, not above.

I would try to streamline the medications: too many of them.

Some of them can cause tremor.

So discuss this with the doc as well.

However, it is important to rule out any degenerative neurological conditions like Parkinson's disease.

peripheral neuropathy from spinal conditions also can affect the hands.

Hence neurologist should be consulted with soon.

It is important to rule out medication effects.
