Hi there ...Thank you for the question ...Basically IBS is a disease that is usually seen in cases where GI control by neurons is effected .So it is suggested that Librex tablet is very effective along with Tricyclic drugs like Amitryptyline .It would be ideal for you to start such pills , ask your dr for prescription .Meanwhile Isphagol husk is very effective , high fiber diet is also helpful .Good luck .Please rate my answer as good service .Thanks .

Hello;Don't do this.Librax and amitryptalline have untoward interactions, and can cause problems. The main approach to this problem starts with diet.High soluble fiber diet. You might not need medications at all./Stress reduction helps. Then, only if needed, you would go to a single medication.I almost never have to use a medication in my practice.I am a double board certified clinical doctor.Find me as needed. Please click a positive on this post only if you appreciate my expertise.
