Customer Question

I had a colonoscopy and an EGD yesterday at 10am. They removed 6 pollops in the colonoscopy the EGD was normal with slight inflamation in the stomach lining. This morning at 4am I woke up to stomach cramping and eventually diarrhea, the diarrhea seems gone but the cramping keeps coming and going. It lasts about 5 seconds and then its gone. Is this normal? and how can I stop it if I can stop it

GreetingsYes, this is normal following such a procedure, colonoscopy and removal of multiple polyps. It should gradually improve and resolve, just like the diarrhea does. Drink enough fluid, don't force it though. Avoid fatty food or excessive solids. Your cramps, lasting seconds only, are not actually bad. They typically last longer. It should completely resolve within 2-3 days. Best wishes
