Can lyme disease not show up on blood test in early stages

Customer Question

Can lyme disease not show up on blood test in early stages but be causing symptoms? And then can it hide for say a little over a year and come out with symptoms again due to stress? Then again in another few months? MSIDS?

This is Dr. Davidusually lyme disease doesn't hide in your bloodwhat symptoms are you having?has any of your blood lyme tests been positive?
Customer: replied 6 months ago.
I didn't mean can it hide in your blood. I meant can it show up with major symptoms, you test it and it comes up negative for Lymes, symptoms hide for a year or so and then return during a high stress situation, they then hide again and reappear with MORE symptoms ending in suicide. This was my husband.

no, lyme disease would not do would not hide and come back out during high stress situation.something else is causing his didn't tell me what his symptoms are.

Ok. Well I have read many, many articles of "Lymes" doctors believing that someone can have Lymes disease that does this. Thousands of people saying this has happened to them. Anyways, 2 years ago he had a sudden "mania" where he had paranoia, delusions, anxiety, couldn't sleep, couldn't concentrate, racing thoughts, racing heart. They gave him anxiety medication and it made it WORSE so he went off it. They tested for Lyme. Negative. These symptoms returned over a year later for a few days again. Then went away completely again until this past July when they slowly came on again with paranoia, hearing voices, instantly falling asleep, insomnia, rashes on arms, ptosis, abnormal pupil size, increased sex drive, weight loss, chills, forgetfulness, trouble sitting still, and more. Then he shot himself with no warning.

this is Dr. DavidI am sorry about your husband and I am sorry about your loss.he should have had an autopsy if he shot himself.the autopsy would have found signs of lyme disease infection if he had ithis symptoms don't sound like lyme disease symptomsthey sound more like a mental illness like schizophrenia which can cause paranoia, dilusions, and hearing voicesit sounded like he needed schizophrenia type medications

ok thanks for your sympathies. Would a regular autopsy show lyme disease if they weren't asked to test for it??? What would it say on the autopsy?? Basically it looks like they tested for only a few things. Yes I understand that Schizophrenia presents these symptoms as well but does Schizophrenia suddenly come on and leave like that?? I don't think so. Lyme's can mimic other diseases. Thanks for your info. I don't think it's exactly the help I'm looking for. I need someone more exactly specialized in Lymes. Thanks.

yes, a regular autopsy would show lyme disease.yes, schizophrenia can come and leave like that.why do you think so much that it is lyme diseasehow would that benefit have lost him already.are you looking to sue doctors who missed his diagnsois of lyme disease?
Customer: replied 6 months ago.
would it say, "lyme disease" on the autopsy? And what does it benefit me?? I lived with him and when I hear others stories of Lymes it sounds exactly like his story. We have a 2 year old and a 5 year old so I need to know if this is something that's in their DNA or not. So I can save their life someday since I couldn't save his. You're a not nice person. Thanks.

yes, it would say lyme disease on autopsy if he had lyme disease.lyme disease is not hereditary.people with a first-degree relative (parent or sibling) who has schizophrenia have a 10 percent chance of developing the disorderwhy do you say I am not a nice person.I am still here working to help you.
