Taking amox-clav (fourth day) infection and have had

Customer Question

Taking amox-clav (fourth day) for sinus infection and have had cramping and pain in my left side since last night. Both my kids are sick with stomach bug so not sure if cramps are from their bug or the antibiotics. I was on levaquin and a z-pack last month for pneumonia. Should I stop taking the amoxicillin?

Hello

You should call your doctor.

This can be the antibiotic.

There is no way to really say.

If you stop and you really need it, bactrim could be substituted.

It being Sunday night, I don't think I can reach my dr. Besides the cramps, I have left flank pain so could it be causing other issues?

Kidney stone.

I suggest the ER, assuming your doctor does not have an on call service.
