Customer Question

will I fail an ETG test after consuming isopropyl alcohol? I thought the ETG test only detected ethanol.
JA: Thanks. Can you give me any more details about your issue?
Customer: I ingested 30ml of 70& rubbing alcohol. I am under the impression that the ETG test only tested for ethanol.
JA: OK got it. Last thing — Doctors generally expect a deposit of about $34 to help with your type of question (you only pay if satisfied). Now I'm going to take you to a page to place a secure deposit with JustAnswer. Don't worry, this chat is saved. After that, we will finish helping you.

Your ETG can be positive for many other reasons though

You can even have a positive ETG from mouthwash and hand sanitizer

So be careful with this stuff
