Hello from JustAnswer.
When someone with high blood pressure has nasal congestion, it is OK to take an antihistamine, but not a decongestant. Decongestants are chemically similar to adrenaline, which is why it can affect blood pressure. If you re having any associated chest congestion or cough, it would be fine to take guaifenesin or dextromethorphan, but these are less helpful for nasal congestion.
It also would be fine to use nasal irrigation with warm salt water, such as with a Netipot. Some people find it psychologically difficult to perform nasal irrigation, but if you are able to do it, most people find it to be very helpful, and has no side effects.
