Does creatine that recently increased from 1.10 to 1.23

Customer Question

Does creatine that recently increased from 1.10 to 1.23 (with weight gain and onset of lots of itching over the past 3 months) mean irreversible kidney disease/failure?

Hi and welcome,

No these parameters does not explain irreversible disease or failure, Even your kidney can be normal with such levels of creatinine as it can raise a bit because of dehydration as well.

Thanks. Is this level of increase concerning at all (with the itching for 3 months)? April and November 2015 the values were 1.11 and 1.10 respectively. Last week, 1.23. Doctor noted this and said she wants to check again in 6 months.

At this point just monitoring is required as your doctor told.
